Summer Letter
“Come and see what God has done,
how awesome his works on man's behalf!”
                                                                                        Psalm 66:5
I first discovered this text on a viewing platform high in the Swiss mountains.
The view was breathtaking and there, in front of me, were the words of Psalm 66 written on a plaque.  “Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works on man's behalf!”

Holidays give us the opportunity to slow down, to stop, to look and to listen. An opportunity for a fresh experience of God, of His creation and of His love.

If you are spending your holidays on the Dorset coast, then you are in for a wealth of experiences.

The miles of the Jurassic Coast offer breathtaking views of shady bays and magnificent seascape with cliffs embedded with natural history.
Travel a few miles inland and discover beautiful countryside and picturesque villages.

If you are a Methodist there is the association of the County with the Wesley family.
You may wish to visit the Church of St Mary, Winterbourne Whitechurch where John Wesley’s grandfather was vicar. (You can see the font in which Samuel Wesley was baptised)
Also the Church of St Andrew’s at Preston and its association with John Westley. (It was spelt with a t in those days!)

If you are in Weymouth, please come and visit us at the new Weymouth Bay Methodist Church.
We are open for Coffee on Wednesday mornings and share in Worship together at 10.30am on Sunday mornings and 7.30pm on Sunday evenings.
We will value your presence, look forward to meeting you and assure you of a warm welcome.
